Curriculum Vitae
Simone Hespers studied Art History, German Language and Literature/History of Contemporary German Literature and Philosophy at the universities of Bamberg, Kiel and Erlangen-Nuremberg. She was a fellow in the Research Training Group “Cultural Transfer in the European Middle Ages” of the German Research Foundation at FAU (doctoral degree in 2005). She was then a research associate at FAU (RTG Cultural Transfer; “Die Melusine des Thüring von Ringoltingen” research project of the German Research Foundation) and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg (under the supervision of Professor Christian Demand). She joined ZIEW in 2012 (since 4/1/2017 Center for Applied Philosophy of Science and Key Qualification, ZiWiS; since 1/1/2023 ZIWIS) where she is working on the Orientation Program. From 2014–2016 she was a research associate at FAU’s IZdigital, the Interdisciplinary Center for Digital Humanities and Social Sciences. Since 2016 she is also responsible for the area of key qualifications at ZiWiS (since 1/1/2023 ZIWIS).
